Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti, has named Vinicius Junior as the player blocking Eden Hazard from playing in his squad.
Hazard has endured a miserable time at Real Madrid because of injuries and inconsistency.
The 32-year-old joined Real Madrid from Chelsea in a €100million deal in 2019.
The Belgian has not played a single minute of La Liga or UEFA Champions League action since his return from the FIFA World Cup, despite being fit to play.
However, speaking ahead of Real Madrid’s Champions League round of 16 second-leg tie with Liverpool on Wednesday, Ancelotti said at his pre-match press conference:
“He [Hazard] doesn’t play because he has a lot of competition and a player in his position who is playing very well, which is Vinicius.”
